ViewStats came out of MrBeast's own team and sells the tooling they built to answer one question: which videos are doing better than they should be. Outlier detection is the headline feature, alongside thumbnail and title comparison against your niche. There is a free site and a browser extension that overlays numbers while you watch. Pro is where the competitor tracking and the idea tools sit.
The free site covers the public tools and the Chrome extension costs nothing, which together are a real product rather than a teaser. Pro is $49.99 a month and is described as the YouTube analytics suite, with competitor tracking, the idea tools and access to the Pro community. Business starts at $249 a month, carries unlimited credits and is aimed at teams and agencies, with volume licensing offered above that. There is one meaningful step in this pricing and it is between free and Pro, since the Business tier is priced for a company rather than a channel.
A YouTube creator deciding what to make next, who wants evidence about the format rather than a report on last month. Outlier detection is most useful to somebody publishing often enough to have a baseline to be an outlier against. A channel with a handful of videos has nothing for it to compare, and someone who mainly needs their own retention curves already has that inside YouTube Studio.
Try the extension before paying for anything, because it is free and it answers the question most people arrive with. vidIQ and TubeBuddy cover similar ground more cheaply; what ViewStats has that they do not is the outlier framing, and whether that is worth $50 a month depends on how often you publish.
