OpusClip picks moments from a long recording, reframes them vertically and adds captions. The selections are decent rather than inspired, so treat the output as a first pass. It saves hours on a weekly show.
A free plan gives you clips with a watermark on them. Starter is $15 a month and Pro is $29, with a custom tier for volume, and the difference is mostly how much footage you can push through and whether the export is watermark free. There is no trial, because the free plan is the trial. Treat the credit allowance rather than the price as the number to compare, since a long weekly show eats through one faster than the plan names suggest.
Podcasters and streamers with a long weekly recording and no time to mine it for short-form. It is wasted on anyone who films short vertical video in the first place, since there is nothing to cut down.
Worth it if you publish a long show weekly and nothing else. The selections are a decent first pass rather than good taste, so budget time to throw half of them away, and do not let it post straight to a channel unattended.
