Milanote is a freeform board for notes, images, links and files, which is what planning looks like before it is a task list. Moodboards, story outlines and channel plans all sit better here than in a document. The free account has no time limit and stops at a hundred items, which is a real project rather than a demo. Anybody who wants deadlines, assignees and a burndown should buy a project tool instead, because this deliberately has none of that.

Free has no time limit and caps at 100 notes, images or links with ten file uploads, while leaving shared boards unlimited. The per-person plan is $9.99 a month billed annually, or $12.50 monthly, and removes every cap. A team plan is $49 a month billed annually for up to ten people, with a fifty-person option beside it. Every paid plan offers a free trial without stating its length.

Somebody at the stage of a project where the shape is still unclear and a list would force decisions too early, which is most creative planning. It suits moodboards, video outlines and channel strategy. Anybody who needs assignees, due dates and progress tracking is looking at the wrong tool, because Milanote deliberately declines to have any of that.
