Heartbeat runs channels, threads, events, courses and a member directory in one place, which is the shape most creator communities end up wanting after outgrowing a Discord server. Payments run through it and it takes a cut that falls as the plan rises. There is no free plan, and a community that stops paying is deactivated rather than frozen.
Build is $49 a month with a 5 percent transaction fee, Grow $149 with 2.5 percent and Scale $849 with 1.25 percent, each on top of Stripe's usual charge. The trial is 14 days with no card. A community that has not upgraded when the trial ends is deactivated, and deleted after 30 days of inactivity, which is worth knowing before importing a member list.
Creators running a paid community with courses or live sessions attached, who have outgrown a Discord server and want threads people can find later. Anybody whose community is free will be paying $49 a month for structure alone.
Work out the transaction fee at your own revenue before comparing headline prices: at $5,000 a month collected, Grow costs less in total than Build. Against Circle and Mighty Networks this is the one with courses and events genuinely built in rather than bolted on.
