Chatbase builds a chat agent from your site, your documents and your help centre, then puts it on the page as a widget. Answers come from what you fed it rather than from the open web, which is the whole reason to use one of these rather than a general assistant. It also hands off to a person when the agent is out of its depth.

Free covers 50 message credits a month with limited models and one member, and the page warns that agents on it are deleted after 14 days of inactivity. Hobby is $32 a month or $384 a year for 700 credits and two members. Standard is $120 a month or $1,440 a year. Both paid plans start with a 7-day trial. Credits are consumed per message, so a busy support page can outrun a plan quickly.

Anybody answering the same handful of questions over and over on a site with the answers already written down somewhere. If your questions need judgement rather than lookup, this will frustrate the people asking them.
