Running the business
Mangools bundles five SEO tools into one login built for someone doing SEO part time, at $37.70 a month on the annual plan. Semrush is the deeper competitor-research suite agencies reach for, at $117.33 a month on its own annual plan, roughly three times Mangools' rate, or $139 billed monthly. The choice is really about depth versus daily limits: Semrush tracks 500 keywords across 5 sites with full competitor gap analysis and AI search visibility, Mangools rations 100 keyword requests and 100 SERP checks a day.

Five SEO tools that do not need a manual
Mangools is KWFinder and four siblings sold together, and its reason to exist is that the serious suites are overwhelming for anybody who is not doing SEO full time. Keyword difficulty is one number you can act on, the SERP view shows who you would have to beat, and the rank tracker keeps score. Limits are per day rather than generous. An agency running client reporting at volume will hit the ceiling and know it.
Our note
Buy this for the interface, which is the only real reason to pick it over a cheaper suite with deeper data. The per-day request caps are the thing that will actually stop you, so count a normal week's lookups before assuming Basic is enough.
Keyword and competitor research at agency depth
Semrush is the tool an SEO reaches for when they need to know what a competitor ranks for and what it is worth. Position tracking, site audits and keyword gaps are all there, along with newer reporting on how brands surface in AI answers. It costs more than most creators can justify, and the entry plan tracks five sites and 500 keywords.
Pick Mangools if you want an answer rather than a dataset and are not doing SEO as your main job. Bloggers, solo founders and freelancers get keyword, SERP, rank, link and site tools for $37.70 a month, and the interface is the entire reason to choose it over something deeper. The daily caps mean an agency running client audits will hit the ceiling fast and should look elsewhere.
Pick Semrush if your traffic comes from search and you are competing against sites with SEO teams behind them. It costs roughly three times Mangools' rate, $117.33 a month against $37.70, and buys competitor keyword gaps, site audits and AI search visibility reporting that Mangools does not attempt. Anybody whose audience arrives from a feed rather than a search box is paying Semrush's price to learn nothing.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
