Running the business
Trint transcribes and translates at newsroom scale, with live transcription from a phone, shared drives for a team and an editor that keeps text locked to audio while several people work in the same file. It is the dearest thing in this category by a distance. What that buys is unlimited volume under a fair-use cap, 50 languages in and 70 out.
Pro is $79 a seat a month, or $948 a seat billed annually, and is limited to individuals. Team is $69 a seat for two to five people and adds shared drives and live collaboration. Business is quoted and is where the API, single sign-on, advanced live transcription and the ISO 27001 commitments sit. Read the fair-use footnote before taking unlimited at face value: archival projects, continuous live transcription and bulk volume work are excluded by name.
Newsrooms, production teams and researchers who transcribe every day and need several people in one file at once. A solo creator with a weekly podcast is paying newsroom prices for newsroom features.
This is the top of the market and priced like it. Unless several people are editing the same transcript, or the deadline is measured in minutes, Sonix or TurboScribe do the transcription for a fraction of the money.
