Running the business
teachable.com

Teachable handles hosting, checkout, drip content and student progress, and it has done so for long enough to be predictable. Coaching sessions and digital downloads sell from the same account. The cheapest plan charges a percentage of every sale on top of its monthly fee, which is the one number to check before committing.
Starter is $39 a month, Builder is $89 and Growth is $189, with a custom tier above. Every plan comes with a 7-day trial and a 30-day guarantee, and the free plan Teachable used to offer is gone. The number that matters is on Starter: it charges 7.5 percent of every sale on top of the $39, and Builder charges nothing. Selling more than about $700 a month makes Builder the cheaper plan despite costing $50 more, which is not how the page presents it.
People whose course is the business rather than a side product, and who want something that has worked the same way for a decade. It is a heavy choice for a single small course, where the monthly fee starts before the first sale does.
Do not stay on Starter out of thrift. The 7.5 percent overtakes the price difference quickly, and Teachable is one of the few platforms where the second cheapest plan is genuinely the cheapest.
