Surfer reads what currently ranks for a term and turns it into instructions while a draft is being written: length, headings, and the terms the page is missing. It now tracks how often a brand appears in AI answers alongside its position in search. The cheapest tier exists to test the workflow on a small number of documents. Anybody expecting a rank tracker or a crawler is buying the wrong tool, because this is aimed at the writing rather than the site.
Discovery is $49 a month billed yearly and covers 120 documents, ten tracked pages and the AI assistant, and exists to test the workflow. Standard at $99 raises that to 360 documents with 25 AI prompts refreshed weekly, integrations and the plagiarism checker. Pro at $182 adds five brand workspaces, internal linking, coverage gap analysis and the cannibalization report. Enterprise is $999. Every figure is billed yearly.
Somebody publishing written content on a schedule who wants each piece measured against what already ranks before it goes out. The document allowance is what decides the tier. Anybody who needs to know why a site is slow, or which pages are broken, wants a crawler instead, because nothing here looks at the site as a system.
Start on Discovery and only move up when the document count runs out, because the jump to Standard doubles the price for capabilities most solo publishers never open. The AI visibility tracking is the genuinely new part of this product and the reason to prefer it over the older on-page tools.
