Running the business
Luma generates video and images, and puts an agent layer over the top so one request can run several models and hand back a set of takes instead of a single clip. Credits meter all of it and the plans differ mainly in how many you get. Commercial use is stated on the entry plan, which is not true of every generator in this category.
There is no free plan on the page. Plus is $30 a month for 10,000 credits, commercial use and edit access for guests. Pro is $90 for 40,000 credits and four times the agent usage. Ultra is $300 for 150,000 credits and fifteen times. Yearly billing is offered at up to 20 percent off, and business plans sit above the individual ones.
Creators generating a volume of video who want several attempts at a shot rather than one, and who need the commercial rights stated plainly. If you generate occasionally, the credit-heavy plans are poor value against a pay-per-use option.
The agent layer is the actual reason to pick this: getting several takes back in one go maps to how generated video is really used, which is to keep going until one works. Compare the credit cost per clip against Runway before committing, because the sticker prices are not comparable on their own.
