hootsuite.com
Hootsuite schedules posts, answers messages from one inbox and monitors what is being said about a brand and its competitors, which is the combination that keeps it in agencies and marketing teams. The entry plan covers ten social accounts for one person; the tier above lifts that to unlimited and adds inbox automation. Analytics and approval workflows are what the upper plans are actually sold on. It is priced per user per month, so a second person on the account roughly doubles it.
Standard is $99 a user a month billed annually for up to ten social accounts, with unlimited scheduling, AI generation, the unified inbox and brand monitoring. Professional is $199 and lifts accounts to unlimited while adding inbox automation and workflows. The top tier is $399 a user a month. Every plan carries a 14-day trial with no card required and no commitment.
A marketing team or agency managing many accounts where approval, monitoring and a single inbox matter more than the price per post. It is the incumbent, so integrations and staff who already know it are part of what is being bought. A solo creator posting to two or three accounts is paying enterprise rates for a queue, and Buffer or Metricool will do that for a fraction of it.
The per-user pricing is what to model, because a second person roughly doubles the bill and that is where this stops competing with the cheaper schedulers. Choose it when monitoring and approvals are requirements rather than nice to have, and choose almost anything else when they are not.
