HeyGen turns typed text into video of an avatar saying it, including one trained on your own face, which is how a course module or a product update gets recorded with no camera set up. Translating a finished video into other languages is the part most people buy it for. It still looks like what it is, so a video whose whole job is being trusted on camera is the wrong job for it.
Free gives three videos a month at up to a minute, with one custom digital twin. Creator is $29 a month and Pro $49, both aimed at one person. Business is $149 and Enterprise is quoted. The page carries a monthly and yearly toggle, and the FAQ states that annual is billed once a year at a lower effective monthly rate. API use is priced separately from all of these.
Course makers and marketers who need a talking head in volume and in several languages. Anywhere the audience is buying you specifically is the wrong use of it, and they will be able to tell.
Buy it for the languages rather than the avatar. Redubbing a video that already works is worth real money; generating a presenter for a channel that has none is how a feed starts to feel synthetic.
