Running the business

Happy Scribe does machine transcription and subtitles, and will sell you a human pass over the top when the machine is not good enough. The export list is long, including the subtitle formats an editor actually needs. Minutes are metered per year rather than per month, which suits lumpy production.
Free gives unlimited meeting recordings at 45 minutes each and a 10-minute trial of AI transcription, with watermarked video export. Basic is $8.50 a month and removes the watermark. Pro is $19 for 7,200 minutes a year, three seats and the full export list. Business is $59 for 72,000 minutes and five seats. Annual billing is advertised at 50 percent off, and human proofreading is charged separately.
A podcaster or video creator who needs both a transcript for show notes and burned-in subtitles for social, in more than one language. Somebody who only wants captions on vertical clips is better served by Submagic.
