Framer collapses the gap between designing a page and shipping it: the canvas is the site, and publishing is a button rather than a handoff. For a creator that means a portfolio or launch page that looks designed without hiring anybody. The CMS is real but small, so a blog with hundreds of posts belongs elsewhere.
Free gives 500 credits, 1 GB of bandwidth and a Framer subdomain. Basic is $10 a month for a custom domain, two CMS collections and 50 GB. Pro is $30 for ten collections, 100 GB, staging, branching and redirects, with overage priced per block. Enterprise is quoted. Additional editors are $20 a month and viewers are free.
A creator who wants a portfolio, launch page or small site that looks designed, and who enjoys pushing pixels. Somebody who wants a page live in twenty minutes and never to think about it again wants Carrd.
Carrd is a tenth of the price and enough for a link page. Framer earns the difference when the site has to grow, has repeated content, or has to look like nobody used a template.
