Filemail moves large files without asking either end to install anything, which is the entire job when the person receiving your footage is a client rather than a colleague. Transfers can be tracked, password protected and set to expire, and the free tier handles up to five gigabytes without an account. The paid plans are about how long files live and how large they get. There is no collaboration layer here, and that is deliberate.
The free account handles transfers up to 5GB with no strings and no sign-up. Personal is $6 a month for one user, Pro is $14 and Business is $24 with multiple users and admins, all read from the monthly view of a toggle that offers two months free on yearly billing. Enterprise managed file transfer is quoted separately. Every paid plan carries a seven day trial. What separates the tiers is transfer size and how long files live rather than any change in how the sending works.
A photographer, videographer or editor sending finished work to clients who will not install anything and should not have to. The whole design assumes the person receiving the file is not technical and is not a colleague. A team that needs comments, versions and approvals on the same files wants a review tool instead, because none of that is here.
Six dollars is the right price for this problem and most of the alternatives charge more for the same thing wrapped in collaboration features. Check the retention period against your client's habits, because the cheapest plan expiring a link before somebody opens it costs you a re-send and a conversation.
