Boords is where a video gets planned before anybody films it: frames in order, notes under each one, and a timed animatic that plays the whole thing back so the pacing problem shows up now rather than in the edit. Clients comment on the board instead of on the finished cut, which is the expensive place to find out. It draws nothing for you beyond AI reference images. A solo creator shooting to a rough outline will not need it.
Solo is $39 a month or $26 billed yearly, Pro is $75 or $50, Team is $125 or $85 and Agency is $250 or $165. Because both figures are printed together, the monthly rate here is unambiguous, which is rarer than it should be. The tiers differ on seats and on AI image allowance, which runs 250, 1,000, 2,000 and 3,000 a month. A free trial is offered without a stated length. For a solo user the yearly commitment saves about a third.
Anybody planning video that costs money to make: an agency, a production team, a creator shooting something more ambitious than a talking head. The animatic is where it earns its keep, because timing problems are cheap now and expensive after the shoot. Somebody filming to a rough outline in one afternoon does not need a storyboard tool and will not use it twice.
Price this against the cost of a reshoot rather than against other software, because that is the expense it exists to prevent. If your videos are planned in your head and come out fine, the honest answer is that you do not need it.
