Bandicam records the screen, a game at high frame rates or an external capture device, and it is one of the few recorders still sold outright rather than rented. The free download records with a watermark and a time limit on each clip. A licence removes both, and the perpetual one keeps working on the version it was bought for.
The free download records with a watermark and a time limit on each clip. An annual licence costs $33.26 for one PC, which the page also prints as $2.77 a month. A perpetual licence for the 2027 version is $53.90 with a year of support, and a bundle with the Bandicut editor is $49.97. Either one covers a single machine, which is worth checking before buying for a laptop and a desktop.
Windows users recording games or long sessions who want the file local and the licence owned. Anybody making a tidy product demo will get a better result from a tool that also edits, and Mac users have stronger options.
OBS Studio does most of this for nothing and is the better default. Bandicam earns its money on the game-capture path, and for anybody who would rather buy software once than subscribe to it.
