Running the business
Rival IQ tracks named rivals across Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn on the same axes, agency-priced from $239 a month for ten tracked companies and one seat. ViewStats is YouTube-only, built by MrBeast's own team to flag which videos are outperforming their baseline, free for the public site and browser extension, then Pro at $49.99 a month for competitor tracking and idea tools. Rival IQ answers how a brand compares across several networks for a client report. ViewStats answers what to make next on one platform, for a fraction of the price.

Benchmark your social against named rivals
Rival IQ is built around comparison rather than reporting: you name the companies you measure yourself against, and it tracks all of them on the same axes. That framing is why agencies and social teams buy it and why a solo creator usually will not. Historical depth and the number of tracked accounts are what separate the plans. Private analytics for accounts you own are an addition to the public benchmarking, not the point of it.
Our note
The entry tier's single seat is the constraint that catches teams out, because $239 buys one login and the second person costs a jump to $349. This is agency software at agency prices, and a creator comparing themselves to three rivals can do it manually for the difference.

YouTube analytics from MrBeast's own team
ViewStats came out of MrBeast's own team and sells the tooling they built to answer one question: which videos are doing better than they should be. Outlier detection is the headline feature, alongside thumbnail and title comparison against your niche. There is a free site and a browser extension that overlays numbers while you watch. Pro is where the competitor tracking and the idea tools sit.
Choose Rival IQ if the job is a multi-platform competitive report: naming rivals across Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn and tracking all of you on the same axes for a client every month. Drive is $239 a month for ten tracked companies, six months of history and one user, agency pricing for an agency deliverable. It says nothing about which video to make next; that is not what benchmarking answers.
Choose ViewStats if the question is what to publish next on YouTube specifically: outlier detection surfaces videos doing better than the channel's baseline would predict, and thumbnail and title comparison sets your packaging against what is working in the niche. The site and Chrome extension are free and answer most of what people arrive wanting, and Pro at $49.99 a month adds competitor tracking and the idea tools. It says nothing about Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn, since it is built around YouTube alone.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
Our note
Try the extension before paying for anything, because it is free and it answers the question most people arrive with. vidIQ and TubeBuddy cover similar ground more cheaply; what ViewStats has that they do not is the outlier framing, and whether that is worth $50 a month depends on how often you publish.
