Running the business
Moz's entry plan is $49 a month for one site: rank tracking, a link index and keyword research, with an API included. Serpstat lands at almost the same price, $50, but bundles keyword research, rank tracking, backlink analysis and site audits into that entry tier, capping backlink reports at 2,000 results and leaving out API access until you upgrade. At virtually identical prices, the choice comes down to whether the wider Serpstat toolkit or Moz's API access matters more to how you actually work.

Rank tracking and link data from Moz Pro
Moz has been measuring domain authority since the metric was invented, and its rank tracking, link explorer and keyword research still cover what a content site needs to watch. Its free browser extension is what most people meet first. The index is smaller than Ahrefs', and the entry plan is priced for one site rather than for an agency.
Our note
The entry price is the argument, at $49 a month for a single site against what Ahrefs and Semrush charge. The link index behind it is smaller. Buy it for rank tracking and check backlinks somewhere else.
A full SEO suite at fifty dollars a month
Serpstat does keyword research, rank tracking, backlink analysis and site audits from one account, and prices the entry plan below where the better-known suites start. The data is thinner in some markets than Ahrefs or Semrush, which is the honest trade for the difference. For somebody checking a few hundred keywords a month rather than running an agency, the cheaper tier is not a compromised version of the tool, it is the same tool with lower limits.
Pick Moz if an API matters, since it is included rather than reserved for a dearer tier, or if the brand-recognised Domain Authority metric is something you already report on to sponsors or clients. The entry plan is $49 a month for one site.
Pick Serpstat if you want keyword research, rank tracking, backlinks and site audits all in the same $50-a-month plan rather than paying Moz's price for a narrower set. Its own listing is candid about the trade: data is thinner than Ahrefs or Semrush in some markets, and the entry tier's 2,000-result backlink reports and missing API are real limits, not a compromised version of the same tool, just a lower ceiling.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
Our note
The data is thinner than the market leaders in some regions, and that gap is the whole difference in price. Run the trial against keywords you already know the answer for, because that comparison tells you in an afternoon whether the cheaper tier is enough.
