Running the business
Metricool prices by brand and folds in competitor tracking and paid-ad reporting alongside scheduling, free for 20 posts a month, then from $20 a month billed annually for 5 brands. SocialPilot has no free plan, only a 14-day trial, but is built for the agency case Metricool only partly covers: bulk upload of hundreds of posts from a spreadsheet, client accounts kept separate with their own approvals, and white-label reports that go out under your name. Its entry tier is $20 a month, or $17 billed annually, close to Metricool's price but with extra accounts and users billed separately rather than bundled into a brand count.

Scheduling and analytics across brands
Metricool schedules to most of the networks a creator uses and then reports on what happened, including competitor tracking and paid campaign numbers in the same view. Pricing counts brands rather than seats, which suits somebody running several accounts. The free plan schedules 20 posts a month, enough to decide whether the reports are worth paying for.
Our note
Twenty scheduled posts a month on the free plan lasts a single creator a long time. Against Later the pricing is per brand rather than per social set, which is why it scales better across clients and gives less to somebody managing one account closely.

Bulk scheduling across many client accounts
Pick Metricool if reporting depth matters most: competitor benchmarking and ad performance sit in the same dashboard as the scheduling, with a free plan to start on and no need for a spreadsheet to queue posts. Starter is $20 a month billed annually for 5 brands.
Pick SocialPilot if you are posting for several clients and need the workflow built around that: bulk CSV upload, separate approval chains per client, and reports carrying your own branding rather than the tool's. Its entry tier starts at $20 a month, or $17 annually, close to Metricool's price, though there is no free tier here, only a 14-day trial, and extra accounts cost $4 a month each beyond the plan's allotment.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
SocialPilot is built around the case where one person posts for ten brands rather than for one. Bulk upload takes a spreadsheet of hundreds of posts at once, client management keeps each account's approvals apart, and the reports go out under an agency's own name rather than the tool's. A solo creator will find that more machinery than the job needs. Anybody who has started posting on behalf of other people is the reader it was priced for, and extra accounts are billed separately from extra seats.
Our note
Pick this one for the bulk upload and the client separation, not for the composer. If you post for a single brand you are paying for machinery you will never open.
