Making the work
Growing an audience
Running the business
Hypefury schedules and automates growth on X and similar text-first networks: threads queue up, a performing post auto-retweets itself, and a promotion appends once it clears a threshold you set. Pricing runs from $6 a month for one channel to $19 flat once every channel is connected. Metricool schedules across nine networks and reports on results, free for 20 posts a month and from $20 a month billed annually once a freelancer needs several brands. The real choice is between an automation engine built for one voice and a scheduling and reporting hub built for several accounts.

Built for people who grow an audience by writing
Hypefury is a scheduler shaped around text posts rather than a content calendar: queue threads, auto-retweet what performs, and append a promotion to a post once it passes a threshold you set. Tweetshots turn a post into an image for reposting elsewhere. The pricing is per channel at the entry plan, so somebody who only writes on one network pays for one, and the plan above it opens all of them for a flat rate.
Our note
Do the arithmetic on channels before choosing a tier: at four platforms the Flexible plan has already passed the flat one. This is worth a look mainly if the automation around a post, rather than the calendar, is what you are buying.

Scheduling and analytics across brands
Metricool schedules to most of the networks a creator uses and then reports on what happened, including competitor tracking and paid campaign numbers in the same view. Pricing counts brands rather than seats, which suits somebody running several accounts. The free plan schedules 20 posts a month, enough to decide whether the reports are worth paying for.
Pick Hypefury if growth on X specifically is the goal and the auto-retweet and autoplug features solve a problem you actually have: turning one post that takes off into signups without watching for it. One connected channel costs $6 a month, cheap enough to test before committing further. Past three or four channels the $19 flat plan is the better math.
Pick Metricool if reporting matters as much as posting, or if several brands or clients need managing under one login. The free plan schedules 20 posts a month with no time limit, enough to decide whether the paid reporting is worth $20 a month billed annually. A single creator posting to one platform can likely stay on the free tier a long time, something Hypefury never offers.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
Our note
Twenty scheduled posts a month on the free plan lasts a single creator a long time. Against Later the pricing is per brand rather than per social set, which is why it scales better across clients and gives less to somebody managing one account closely.
