Transfers can be tracked, password protected and set to expire, and the free tier handles up to five gigabytes without an account. The paid plans are about how long files live and how large they get. There is no collaboration layer here, and that is deliberate.
Our note
Six dollars is the right price for this problem and most of the alternatives charge more for the same thing wrapped in collaboration features. Check the retention period against your client's habits, because the cheapest plan expiring a link before somebody opens it costs you a re-send and a conversation.

Big files sent without an account
WeTransfer sends a large file to somebody who does not want to install anything, sign up for anything or be walked through a shared drive. That is the entire product and it has been for years. The free tier moves 3 GB a month across ten transfers, and paying removes the size limit, the expiry and the ten.
