Chatwoot and Re:amaze both collect email, chat and social messages into one inbox priced per person, and both will look similar on a features page. Chatwoot is open source, so self-hosting is free and unlimited, and its hosted plan runs $19 a person a month paid annually. Re:amaze is hosted only, at $26.10 a person a month on the same annual basis, or $29 paid monthly, and bundles multiple brands and SMS onto its $49 Pro tier. Re:amaze's own listing says it is the wrong shape for comment moderation; Chatwoot names Instagram and WhatsApp as connected channels directly.

Open-source inbox for every channel at once
Chatwoot collects website chat, email, Instagram, WhatsApp and the rest into one queue, and it is open source, so the version you self-host costs nothing and keeps the conversation data on your own server. That is the reason most people arrive. The hosted plans are priced per agent for anybody who would rather not run it. Setting up the self-hosted route is a real infrastructure job and the docs do not pretend otherwise.
Our note
Be honest about whether you have somebody who will keep a self-hosted deployment patched, because the free version is only free if that person already exists. If not, the hosted tier at $19 an agent is competitive on its own terms and the open source part is a nice fallback rather than the plan.
Only on this side
One inbox for email, chat and social
Choose Chatwoot if self-hosting is realistic for your team, since that route is free and unlimited and keeps data on your own server. Its hosted plan is also the cheaper of the two on a like-for-like annual basis, $19 a person a month against Re:amaze's $26.10. It names Instagram and WhatsApp as connected channels directly, which suits a creator's social volume better than a general helpdesk does.
Choose Re:amaze if the support burden is email, chat and social questions for a product, rather than comments under posts. Basic is $29 a person a month, or $26.10 billed annually, and already includes unlimited email inboxes, chatbots and an AI agent. Its own listing is explicit that comment moderation is the wrong job for it, so a creator whose volume is entirely Instagram replies should look elsewhere.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
Re:amaze collects email, live chat, social messages and an FAQ into a single helpdesk priced per team member, so a one-person operation pays for one person. Macros, response templates and chatbots handle the questions that repeat. The middle tier adds SMS and voice and the ability to run several brands from one account. Nothing here is built for comment moderation on a social feed, so a creator whose volume is all Instagram replies is buying the wrong shape of tool.
Our note
Start on Basic unless you are supporting two brands, because that is the single feature the Pro tier is really selling and everything else on it is a refinement. Take the annual discount only after a month of real volume, since a helpdesk that turns out to be the wrong shape is an expensive thing to have prepaid.
