Twine is a marketplace of freelance video editors, animators, designers, illustrators, copywriters and music producers, and posting a job costs nothing. What you pay is a service fee on the hire, and it drops once you have paid a freelancer enough. The published project ranges give you a straight answer about what work costs before you write the brief.
Posting is free and there is no monthly cost. The service fee starts at 10 percent of what you pay a freelancer and drops to 5 percent once lifetime payments to that person pass $10,000. Twine Business is $139.99 per project, billed monthly and cancellable, for teams wanting the managed route. The published ranges are useful on their own: $150 to $750 for a graphic designer, $200 to $1,000 for a videographer or a UX designer.
Creators hiring for a specific creative job, an edit, a thumbnail set, a track, who want a number in mind first. Anybody hiring the same person repeatedly benefits most, because the fee halves once the payments add up.
The falling fee is the reason to keep hiring the same editor here rather than moving off-platform once you like them. Upwork has far more people; Twine has fewer and they are all creative, which is worth something when you are the one reading the applications.
