Sponsy is the back office for a newsletter that sells its own advertising: a booking calendar, the assets, the invoices and the reporting a sponsor expects afterwards. Selling directly is what makes newsletter advertising worth doing, and the admin is what makes people stop. It handles the admin. Publishers running one letter will find the cheaper tier is the whole product.
Growth is $79 a month and covers the ad management and the automations, which is the entire product for a single publication. The tier above is $109 a month and is aimed at scaling and automating across several publications with a small team. Both are month to month with no commitment, and the page states no card is needed to start, alongside a seven day trial. There is no free plan, and nothing here is priced on how much sponsorship revenue passes through it, so the fee is flat regardless of what you sell.
A newsletter or podcast selling its own advertising directly, at the point where the calendar, the assets and the invoices have outgrown a spreadsheet and started costing real hours. Selling direct is what makes this kind of advertising worth having, and admin is what usually ends it. A publisher whose sponsorship comes entirely through a marketplace has that admin handled for them already.
The flat fee is the thing to weigh, because $948 a year is nothing against a healthy sponsorship business and a lot against a letter selling one slot a month. Work out what an hour of your admin costs before deciding, since that is the only saving this makes.
