Leonardo generates images from a prompt and, unlike most of the tools that do, lets you train a model on your own pictures and keep using it. That is what people stay for: a character or a product that looks the same across fifty images rather than approximately the same. The canvas and the real-time editor sit alongside it, and there is an API if the work belongs in something you built.
Free gets you a daily token allowance. Essential is $12 a month for 8,500 Fast Tokens, Premium is $30 for 25,000 and Ultimate is $60 for 60,000, all quoted before tax. Team plans start at $72 a month for three seats. The API is priced separately on its own tab, so building on it is not the same purchase as using the app.
People who need the same character, product or style across many images, which is where the custom model earns its keep. If you want one good picture and never think about it again, the free tier of almost anything will do.
Leonardo is the pick when consistency matters more than the single best-looking render, because training a model on your own images is the feature its rivals mostly do not have. For one-off images, NightCafe costs the same and gives you more models to try.
