Durable generates a working site from a short description of the business, which is aimed squarely at a tradesperson or solo operator who needs a presence today and will not be maintaining one. An invoicing tool and a CRM sit beside the builder. The free tier publishes on a subdomain with monthly caps on generated images and AI chat. Anybody with a design in mind will be fighting a generator rather than using a builder.
Free publishes on a subdomain with five generated images and ten AI messages a month. The paid tiers are $22 and $41 a month, lifting those to 50 images and then 500 images with unlimited AI chat, and both include a custom domain or a free registration worth up to $20. Annual billing is stated as 15 percent off.
A tradesperson, consultant or solo operator who needs a credible web presence today and has no intention of becoming a webmaster, which is the audience every part of this assumes. The invoicing and CRM make it a small business kit rather than a builder. Anybody with a specific design in mind will be arguing with a generator, and any ordinary builder will frustrate them less.
Buy this for speed rather than for the site, because the honest comparison is against having no web presence at all rather than against Squarespace. If you will still be running the business in a year, budget for moving to a real builder once the first version has paid for itself.
