Codeable is a hiring service for WordPress work with the rate written on the page rather than bid down in an auction. You describe the job, a few vetted developers estimate it, and the price lands inside a band the site tells you in advance. That suits somebody who wants their site fixed rather than a hiring process.
Work is estimated against an $80 to $120 hourly rate, and Codeable adds a fixed 17.5 percent service fee on top. The published starting points are $420 for speed and security work, $960 for a custom plugin, $980 for a theme, $2,500 for a site build and $3,200 for an ecommerce build. Getting an estimate costs nothing and carries no obligation to hire.
Somebody whose WordPress site is broken, slow or needs a feature, and who would rather pay a known rate than run a hiring process. If your budget is a few hundred dollars for a big build, the rate here will price you out honestly and early.
This is the expensive end of WordPress help and the honest one, since the rate is on the page instead of at the bottom of a negotiation. Use a general marketplace when the job is small and Codeable when breaking the site would cost you more than the quote.
