Linktree is free with unlimited links, then paid tiers from around $5 a month for customization and branding removal. Taplink is free too, then $4 a month for PRO, turning the page into something that actually takes a booking or a payment rather than just listing URLs. Taplink's own comparison frames it exactly this way: the difference is what happens after the click, and a plain list of links needs none of what the $4 buys.

The link in bio page most people already recognise
Linktree is fast to set up and understood by every audience, which is most of its value. Payments, email capture and basic analytics are all there now. Customization is limited unless you pay.
Our note
Fine, and rarely the best answer. Beacons does more for the same money and beehiiv or Kit do the audience part properly; Linktree wins on the one thing that is hard to buy, which is that your followers already know what it is.

A link in bio page that takes payments
Taplink builds a small mobile page out of blocks, and the paid tier turns it into something that sells: price lists, order forms, payment collection and a CRM behind them. That is further than most link pages go. The editor and the help text both read as translated, which is a fair warning about who the support team is.
Choose Linktree if a plain, recognisable list of links is genuinely the whole job, since the free plan already does that well and paid tiers from around $5 a month only add customization. Nobody has to be told what a Linktree is, which is worth something Taplink cannot sell.
Choose Taplink if the bio link needs to take a booking or a payment for a service, since PRO at $4 a month adds price lists and pixels, and BUSINESS at $8 adds a CRM and payment collection. It suits a coach or service business more directly than Linktree's plain link format.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
Our note
Against Linktree the comparison is about what happens after the click. Taking a booking or a payment on the bio page is what the $4 buys, and a plain list of links needs none of it.
