Running the business
Leadpages splits into two product lines on one pricing page: publishing from $10 a month, and a separate optimisation tier from $99 that adds A/B testing, traffic routing and heatmaps. Unbounce is built around testing as the whole point, Starter at $29 a month, or $22 billed annually, with unlimited A/B testing arriving on Experiment at $149, or $112 annually, described as the plan the product is really about. For real testing, Leadpages' $99 optimisation tier undercuts Unbounce's $112 Experiment plan; for a page with no testing at all, Leadpages' $10 Publishing tier is far cheaper than either.

Landing pages with the testing built in
Leadpages has been doing conversion pages long enough that the templates are tuned rather than pretty, and A/B testing is included instead of sold as an upgrade. Heatmaps and traffic routing arrive at the higher tiers. The plan ladder is confusing, because two products with separate names share the same pricing page.

Landing pages built around the A/B test
Unbounce is a landing page builder whose reason to exist is what happens after the page is up: variants, traffic splitting and a record of which version won. Popups and sticky bars come with it. It is a conversion tool bought by people running paid traffic, and it is priced for them rather than for a first page.
Our note
Buy this when you are spending money on traffic and want to spend less. Landingi builds a comparable page for less, and Unbounce earns the difference back only if you are actually running the tests.
Choose Leadpages if a cheap page with no testing is enough for now, since Publishing starts at $10 a month, well under anything Unbounce offers. When testing does matter, its $99 optimisation tier still undercuts Unbounce's equivalent, though the two-product pricing page takes a minute to parse.
Choose Unbounce if the whole reason to buy is A/B testing, since Experiment at $112 a month billed annually is built as the actual product rather than an upgrade tacked onto a page builder. Free hosting and unlimited pages come from the entry plan, so a campaign per page stays affordable even before testing is switched on.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
