Running the business
Gamma turns a prompt or a document into a deck, free for 400 credits and then $9 a seat a month billed annually. Marq locks the logo and colours on a template so somebody outside the design team can fill in the rest without breaking the brand, at $10 a month per user billed yearly with no free tier. The two solve different problems at almost the same price: Gamma writes the first draft, Marq stops that draft from going off-brand once other people are allowed to touch it.

Decks, docs and sites generated from a prompt
Gamma turns a prompt or a pasted document into a deck, a page or a small website, then lets you edit the result the way you would edit a document rather than by dragging boxes around a slide. Everything it makes is responsive, so the same file reads properly on a phone. Credits meter the generation and the free plan starts you with four hundred of them. Export goes out to PDF, PowerPoint and Google Slides.
Our note
Gamma is the fastest route from a rough idea to something presentable, and the credit system is the thing to watch rather than the seat price. Canva does more if you want to art-direct the result; this wins when the deck is a means to an end.

Brand templates with the logo locked down
Marq exists for the problem where somebody outside the design team has to make a flyer and must not be able to move the logo. Templates lock whichever parts carry the brand and leave the rest editable, so a franchise or a chapter can localise a poster without redrawing it. The product came out of Lucidpress and kept that job when it changed name.
Pick Gamma if the job is generating a deck, a page or a one-pager from scratch and you are not a designer yourself. Free gives 400 credits to test it, and Plus is $9 a seat a month billed annually for 1,000 monthly credits and branding removed. It has no template-locking feature: nothing stops a teammate moving your logo once they have edit access.
Pick Marq if other people, a franchise, a chapter, a sales team, need to produce branded flyers without being able to move the logo or colours. It is $10 a month per user billed yearly with no free tier, a dollar more than Gamma's entry price, and that dollar buys the lock Gamma does not have. A solo creator with nobody to lock templates against should use Gamma or Canva instead.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
Our note
This is bought for the lock rather than for the drawing, and if nobody is going to misuse your logo you do not need it. The former name, Lucidpress, is still what half the internet's tutorials call it.
