Running the business
Flixier is a full browser-based editor that renders in the cloud, free for ten watermarked minutes a month before Starter reaches $19 a seat a month. Typito is narrower, built for laying text, captions and lower thirds over footage you already have, free for 30 minutes of export a month before Solo costs $15 a month billed annually. Flixier cuts and renders the video; Typito dresses one that is already cut.

Browser editing that renders in the cloud
Flixier edits in a browser tab and does the rendering on its own machines, so an export finishes at the same speed on a cheap laptop as on a workstation. Footage can be pulled in from Drive, Dropbox and a phone without a download step first. The free tier watermarks and caps exports at ten minutes a month, which is enough to judge it and not enough to work with. Seats are what get billed, and the AI credits included per seat are the other thing separating the plans.
Our note
This earns its keep when your export queue is the bottleneck, and not otherwise, so time one render on your current machine before deciding. Kapwing and VEED are the direct comparisons, and the tiebreaker is usually which one already connects to where your footage lives.
Text and graphics laid over video
Typito is for putting text and graphics on top of video: lower thirds, captions, titles that match a brand rather than a preset. It is a browser tool aimed at marketers instead of editors, so the templates carry most of the design decisions. Export duration is what the plans meter, and the free one gives you thirty minutes a month.
Pick Flixier for a full edit, especially on a machine too slow to render locally, since cloud rendering is the entire pitch. Starter is $19 a seat a month for 2,000 AI credits, more editing depth than Typito offers at a similar price.
Choose Typito when the footage is already cut and the job is captions, lower thirds and a consistent brand look. Solo is $15 a month billed annually for 60 minutes of export with no watermark, cheaper than Flixier's Starter but metered by export minutes rather than by editing features.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
Our note
The export minute allowance matters more than the price on this one, and the free tier's thirty minutes goes quickly. Kapwing costs about the same and does more, so pick Typito when the typography is the job.
