Making the work
Growing an audience
Running the business
Duda charges per project, from $19 a month billed annually, and is built for an agency handing finished sites to clients with white-label permissions. Framer starts free on a Framer subdomain and is built for one person designing a single site that looks considered, with the canvas doubling as the published page. Duda's own guidance says a single personal site is better served by Framer. The axis is really who the site is for: a string of client projects, or one site somebody is designing themselves.

A site builder aimed at people building for clients
Duda is built for somebody making sites for other people: client permissions, a white-label editor and a per-site price that scales with the number of projects rather than the size of one. Sites are fast and responsive without hand-tuning. The team and white-label tiers are where its actual audience sits, and the cheapest plan is a single site for somebody trying it. Anybody building one personal site will find the agency machinery irrelevant and the price higher than the consumer builders.
Our note
Count the sites you will publish, not the features you want, because the per-project charge is what actually sets your bill here. Against Webflow the split is that this is easier to hand to a non-technical client and harder to push into an unusual layout.
Design a site and publish it from the same canvas
Framer collapses the gap between designing a page and shipping it: the canvas is the site, and publishing is a button rather than a handoff. For a creator that means a portfolio or launch page that looks designed without hiring anybody. The CMS is real but small, so a blog with hundreds of posts belongs elsewhere.
Duda is the pick for a freelancer or studio building sites for other people, where client permissions and white-label handover matter and a steady stream of small projects justifies the per-site pricing. Basic is $19 a month billed annually for the first site, plus $19 a month for each one after.
Framer is the pick for a creator building one portfolio, launch page or small site and doing the designing personally. It is free to start on a Framer subdomain, and Basic is $10 a month for a custom domain, less than half of Duda's entry price for a single site. The CMS tops out at ten collections on Pro, so a blog with hundreds of posts belongs somewhere else.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
Our note
Carrd is a tenth of the price and enough for a link page. Framer earns the difference when the site has to grow, has repeated content, or has to look like nobody used a template.
