Docusign has no free tier: Personal is $11 a month on an annual commitment of $132, capped at five envelopes a month, with its value resting on a brand's legal team having probably already approved the name. Xodo Sign also has no free tier, but its cheapest plan removes any document cap immediately: Basic is $10 a seat a month billed yearly, with unlimited sending included, which is unusual at that price. Docusign is the recognised name with a real cap. Xodo Sign is the cheaper, uncapped alternative that nobody has necessarily heard of.

The e-signature everyone already accepts
Docusign's advantage is not the product, it is that a brand's legal team has already approved it. For a creator signing sponsorship agreements that is worth more than a cheaper competitor. The personal plan's five envelopes a month is the constraint to check before subscribing.

Unlimited signatures on the cheapest plan
Xodo Sign, which was eversign until the rename, sends documents for signature with no monthly cap on how many, which is unusual at ten dollars a seat. Templates are limited to three on the entry plan and unlimited above it. The dearer tier folds in PDF editing, redaction and an AI summary of a contract. Anybody who needs an API or bulk sending is quoted rather than priced.
Our note
Choose on templates rather than on the PDF editing, because three is enough for one contract type and immediately not enough for a business with several. The rename from eversign is only a name: the domain, the plans and the account are unchanged, which is worth knowing if you signed up years ago.
Buy Docusign if a brand or sponsor already trusts the name, and five envelopes a month covers what you actually send. Personal is $11 a month on an annual commitment of $132, and Standard moves to $30 a user a month with 100 envelopes a year once volume grows.
Buy Xodo Sign if volume is the concern and nobody on the other end cares which tool sent the request. Basic is $10 a seat a month billed yearly with unlimited documents from the first plan, cheaper than Docusign and without a monthly cap to track. Templates are limited to three until Professional at $16, so choose on that limit rather than on the PDF editing.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
