Colossyan makes videos with synthetic presenters and aims squarely at the people who make training material: conversations between two avatars, quizzes inside the video, and SCORM files an LMS will accept. That last one is why a learning team picks it over a general avatar tool. For a creator outside corporate training it is the same product with features nobody will use.
Our note
SCORM is the whole reason to choose this over HeyGen or Synthesia. If your videos end up on YouTube rather than in an LMS, those two are better at the part you care about and this one charges you for the part you do not.

Murf turns a script into a voiceover in a couple of hundred voices, with per-word emphasis and pacing controls that stop the read sounding flat. The editor syncs the audio against a video track, which is what makes it usable for course modules rather than just clips.
