Running the business
Colossyan builds avatar video for corporate training: SCORM files an LMS accepts, quizzes inside the video, two avatars in conversation, free to start and $27 a month after. D-ID turns a single photo into a talking presenter, cheap at $4.70 a month for Lite but metered tightly at 10 minutes of video. Pick Colossyan when the output has to land inside a course platform. Pick D-ID when the job is one short clip from one photo and a script.

Avatar video built for workplace training
Colossyan makes videos with synthetic presenters and aims squarely at the people who make training material: conversations between two avatars, quizzes inside the video, and SCORM files an LMS will accept. That last one is why a learning team picks it over a general avatar tool. For a creator outside corporate training it is the same product with features nobody will use.
Our note
SCORM is the whole reason to choose this over HeyGen or Synthesia. If your videos end up on YouTube rather than in an LMS, those two are better at the part you care about and this one charges you for the part you do not.

Talking avatar video made from a photo
D-ID animates a still portrait into a speaking presenter, driven by uploaded audio or by text, and it is the shortest path from a script to a face on screen. Translation into other languages runs from the same clip. Minutes are metered monthly and run out quickly, which is the constraint that decides the plan rather than the feature list.
Pick Colossyan if your video has to end up inside a learning management system. Its SCORM export and in-video quizzes are the reason a training team buys it over a general avatar tool, and the free plan does not expire while D-ID's trial does, at 14 days.
Pick D-ID if you have one photo and a script and want the cheapest route to a talking presenter, not a training package. Lite is $4.70 a month for 10 minutes of video a month, rising to $108 a month for 100 minutes on Advanced. It also translates a clip into other languages, which Colossyan's listing does not mention doing.
