Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
The assistant most creators already have open
ChatGPT is the chat assistant creators reach for between the other tools: drafting a script, cutting a description down to the character limit, arguing with a title until it stops sounding like everyone else's. The free plan answers most of that. Paying moves you onto the stronger reasoning models, lifts the message and upload limits, and adds projects, scheduled tasks and custom GPTs, which is where repeat work starts to pay for itself. There is a plan below Plus that costs eight dollars and may carry ads.
Our note
Pick the cheapest tier that stops you hitting a wall mid-session, then move up only when it happens again. The gap that matters for creative work is Free to Plus rather than Plus to Pro, because Plus is where the better reasoning models and the reusable setups start.

Rytr writes captions, product descriptions, emails and outlines from a tone and a brief, and it is the one people name when the question is which AI writer costs the least. The output needs editing and it does not pretend otherwise. The free plan is 10,000 characters a month, which is enough to find out whether the voice it produces is one you can work with.
Ratings are the average of reviews readers left. The facts are stated by each tool’s own listing and are not verified by CloutStack. How we make money.

Our note
The price is the whole argument. If a caption tool at $7.50 a month is enough, this is the one; if you find yourself rewriting every sentence it produces, you wanted Jasper or Copy.ai and the saving was not real.
