Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
Pay-as-you-go video hosting and delivery
bunny.net is a content delivery network with a video product on top, and it charges by the gigabyte with a one dollar monthly minimum. A creator embedding video on their own site pays for what people actually watch instead of buying a plan sized for a good month. It expects you to be comfortable with a dashboard built for developers, and it does not try to be a membership platform.
Our note
This is the cheapest way to put video on your own site by a wide margin, and the cost of that is doing the integration yourself. Set the bandwidth limit on day one; usage billing without a ceiling is the one way this gets expensive.
Video hosting priced by bandwidth, with DRM on top
Gumlet is video infrastructure for somebody who wants their own player on their own site rather than a channel on somebody else's. It transcodes, delivers, and will lock a video down with DRM if the content is worth stealing, which is the feature that usually forces a jump to enterprise pricing elsewhere. Image optimisation runs on the same account. The dashboard assumes you know what a bitrate ladder is, and does not apologise for it.
Our note
Ratings are the average of reviews readers left. The facts are stated by each tool’s own listing and are not verified by CloutStack. How we make money.

Price this on bandwidth rather than on the plan name, because a single popular video can move you two tiers in a month. If the content does not need protecting, the cheaper video hosts do the same delivery job without the DRM machinery you are partly paying for.
