Both cover dm & comment automation. Here is what separates them on price, billing, what you can take with you, and coverage.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
Build an agent, pay by the conversation
Botpress is the developer end of the chatbot market: a visual builder over a real runtime, with your own code where the flow is not enough, and deployment to a site, WhatsApp or a Discord server. Pricing is a small platform fee plus conversation packs, so a bot nobody talks to costs almost nothing. It expects more of whoever sets it up than the tools sold to marketers do.
Our note
This is the most capable and the least friendly option in this category, and both halves are true. Pick it when the bot needs to reach into your own systems, and pick something else when the job is answering the same five questions on Instagram.

One trigger, one action, and it costs almost nothing
IFTTT connects one service's event to another service's action and stops there, which is either the limitation or the point. It reaches consumer things the business automation tools ignore, including smart home devices, phone settings and a long tail of small apps. For a creator it covers the small jobs: a new video posts itself somewhere, a saved item lands in a note, a schedule flips a light before a stream. The free plan allows a couple of applets and the paid tier costs less than a coffee a month.
Ratings are the average of reviews readers left. The facts are stated by each tool’s own listing and are not verified by CloutStack. How we make money.
