SproutVideo hosts video for businesses that want a player without YouTube's branding, its recommendations or its comment section. Plans include storage and bandwidth rather than metering them, so the bill is predictable until it is not. Our note
Against Wistia the difference is what happens past the allowance: this publishes its overage rates and includes generous bandwidth, where Wistia charges per video. For a large library watched by a small audience, this is usually the cheaper shape.

Encrypted storage where only you hold the key
Sync encrypts everything before it leaves the machine, so the company cannot read what you store even if it wanted to. For a creator holding unreleased footage or a client's raw files, that is the difference between a policy and a guarantee. End-to-end encryption also means a forgotten password loses the data, with nobody able to reset it for you.
Our note
The encryption is the product, and it cuts both ways: nobody at Sync can read your files, and nobody at Sync can recover them if you lose the password. Write it down somewhere that is not the encrypted drive.
