Piktochart turns figures into an infographic or a report through templates that keep a non-designer inside the lines, free to start and then $15 a member a month on annual billing. Visme does something similar but wires the charts to actual data, so editing the numbers updates the graphic instead of redrawing it, free for unlimited projects with limited assets and then $12.25 a month per person billed annually, cheaper than Piktochart's entry price. Piktochart's own listing points elsewhere, to Infogram, for charts that need to stay tied to their data, which is exactly what Visme does natively. For a document that has to update as the numbers change, that is the deciding feature.

Infographics and reports from templates
Piktochart turns a report or a set of figures into something a person will actually read: an infographic, a one-page summary, a poster for a wall. Templates handle the layout and the editor keeps you inside them, which is the point for anybody who does not design for a living. There is a free plan, and the paid ones are priced per member.
Our note
Piktochart is narrower than Canva and better at the one thing it does, which is making a long document of numbers look deliberate. Choose Infogram instead if the charts need to stay tied to their data.
Design work that has to carry data
Visme is the design tool for the things with numbers in them: infographics, reports, decks and the charts inside them. Templates come with the data widgets already wired, so a chart is edited rather than drawn. That focus is what separates it from the general graphics tools, and it is also why a simple thumbnail is quicker somewhere else.
Our note
Visme wins when the graphic has to carry information rather than attention. Venngage overlaps heavily and is cheaper at the entry level, so compare the two on which template library fits your subject.
Pick Piktochart if the job is a one-off infographic, a poster or a summary where a fixed layout is the whole ask, and simplicity matters more than live data. Free covers the basics, and paid plans run $15 a member a month on annual billing.
Pick Visme if charts need to update when the underlying numbers change, or the same project needs to become a deck as well as a report. Starter is $12.25 a month per person billed annually, cheaper than Piktochart's entry tier, and by its own account it is the heavier tool once documents get long, though a simple thumbnail is quicker made somewhere else.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
