Running the business
involve.me builds quizzes and calculators that score an answer and qualify a lead, billed annually only, from $29 a month, which works out to $348 a year at its cheapest paid tier. OptinMonster captures email addresses with exit-intent popups triggered as a visitor's pointer leaves the page, with no free plan, standing at $210 a year once the discounted first year ends. The two solve different problems, qualifying versus capturing, but on the numbers OptinMonster's real floor price is actually lower than involve.me's.

Quizzes and calculators that qualify a lead
involve.me builds the interactive middle of a funnel: quizzes, calculators, product finders and forms that branch on the answers and hand over a scored lead rather than an email address. Outcomes can be scored and routed, so a price calculator can quote and a quiz can recommend. Results push into the usual email and CRM tools. It is not a page builder, so the pieces it makes are embedded into a site that already exists.
Our note
The value here is the qualifying, not the form, so only buy it if what somebody answers actually changes what you send them next. Typeform is the obvious comparison and is better at plain surveys; this is better when the answers have to compute something.
Popups and opt-ins with exit-intent targeting
OptinMonster captures email addresses from traffic a site already has, and its exit-intent trigger is the feature it built its name on: the offer appears as the pointer leaves for the tab bar. Campaigns can be aimed at a page, a referrer, a device or a returning visitor. It is a licence attached to a site rather than a platform holding the list, so the addresses go to whatever email tool is already in use. The pricing is annual and the first year is discounted, which is worth reading before budgeting.
Pick involve.me when the point is computing something from an answer: a quiz that recommends, a calculator that quotes. The free plan is real, and the cheapest paid tier is $29 a month, billed annually only, working out to $348 a year.
Pick OptinMonster when the job is simply capturing an email address from traffic that is already there, especially through exit-intent targeting on content pages. There is no free plan, and the standing price is $210 a year once the first year's discount ends, cheaper annualized than involve.me's entry tier despite the flashier introductory number on the page. Budget the standing rate, not the year-one rate, before comparing either tool on cost.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
Our note
Budget the standing $210 rather than the introductory $7, because the footnote is unambiguous that renewals are full price and that is the number you live with. Against ConvertFlow the split is clean: this targets better, that one personalises better, and only one of them needs your visitor history.
