Making the work
Growing an audience
Running the business
Hypefury is built for growing an audience by writing, threads, auto-retweets and a promotion appended once a post takes off, from $6 a month for one channel or $19 for every channel included. Later thinks in grids instead, a visual calendar for Instagram and TikTok with a bio link page built in, from $18.75 a month billed yearly with no free plan any more. Pick Hypefury if the growth engine is text on X and similar networks. Pick Later if the feed has to look right before it goes out.

Built for people who grow an audience by writing
Hypefury is a scheduler shaped around text posts rather than a content calendar: queue threads, auto-retweet what performs, and append a promotion to a post once it passes a threshold you set. Tweetshots turn a post into an image for reposting elsewhere. The pricing is per channel at the entry plan, so somebody who only writes on one network pays for one, and the plan above it opens all of them for a flat rate.
Our note
Do the arithmetic on channels before choosing a tier: at four platforms the Flexible plan has already passed the flat one. This is worth a look mainly if the automation around a post, rather than the calendar, is what you are buying.

Visual planning for Instagram and TikTok
Later grew up as an Instagram scheduler and still thinks in grids: the calendar shows what the profile will look like, not only when things post. Linkin.bio turns the feed into a clickable page. The free plan is gone, so the first decision is whether visual planning is worth a subscription that starts near twenty dollars a month.
Pick Hypefury if you are growing an audience by writing rather than filming. Flexible is $6 a month for one connected channel, each extra adds $6, and Full at $19 a month opens every channel with auto-retweet and autoplug features for converting a post that took off. Do the channel math first: past four platforms, Full is already cheaper than Flexible.
Pick Later if the account is Instagram or TikTok led and the grid needs to look right before anything posts. Three plans run $18.75, $37.50 and $82.50 a month billed yearly, separated by social sets, users and AI credits, with Linkin.bio turning the feed into a clickable page at no extra subscription. There is no free plan any more, and managing several clients adds up faster here than on a per-brand tool like Metricool.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
Our note
There is no free plan any more, which is the thing to know if you remember the older version. Against Metricool the pricing is per social set rather than per brand, and that comparison turns as soon as there is more than one client.
