Both turn a script into a finished video. Fliki narrates it in any of eighty languages and assembles visuals, on credits from $21 a user billed yearly. Synthesia puts an AI presenter on screen reading it, free for ten minutes a month with a logo and $19 to remove it. Whether a face belongs in the video is the decision.

Text to video in eighty languages, on credits
Fliki turns a script, a blog post or a set of bullet points into a narrated video, and its strength is the voice library rather than the visuals: dozens of languages, cloned voices, and dubbing of a video you already made. Credits cover generation and are pooled per user per year. The free tier is three credits a month, which is a demonstration rather than a workflow.
Our note
Pick this over Pictory or invideo when the languages matter, because the voice library is where the money went. If everything you publish is in English, the others give more attention to the visuals for similar money.
Only on this side
Video from a script, read by an AI presenter
Synthesia turns typed words into a video of a person saying them, in a long list of languages, which is why it lives in training departments rather than on channels. For a creator it earns its place on explainer and localisation work, where reshooting in nine languages is not happening. Nobody is fooled into thinking the presenter is real.
Synthesia is for explainer, training and localisation work where the presenter's job is to be clear rather than to be a personality. Basic gives ten minutes a month with a Synthesia logo, Starter at $19 covers 120 minutes a year without one, and Creator at $89 adds personal avatars, API access and interactive video. Studio avatars are a separate $1,000 a year on every paid tier, which is the figure people miss. If your audience comes for you personally, do not put an avatar in front of them.
Fliki is the better buy when the output is narration over visuals rather than a talking head, and when languages matter more than the presenter, since the voice library is where its money went. Credits pool per year, which forgives a busy month.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
