Running the business
Flair.ai trains a model on a single product and generates full lifestyle scenes around it, free for five images before Pro starts at $8 a month. Photoroom cuts a subject cleanly out of any photo and drops in a background or shadow, from $12.99 a month or $7.50 if paid yearly, and runs on a phone as well as the web. Flair builds a scene from scratch; Photoroom fixes the photo you already took.

Product photos without the studio
Flair.ai trains a model on a product and then places it in scenes, which is the job a photographer, a set and a day of shooting used to do. A free tier exists to see whether the likeness holds up on your own product before anything is paid. Custom models, upscaling and variations are what the paid tiers buy more of. The commercial licence sits on the third tier, so anybody selling with the output should read that line before picking a plan.
Our note
Check the licence line rather than the image count when picking between Pro and Pro+, since the commercial rights arrive at $26 and using cheaper output to sell with is the mistake this pricing invites. Train on the free tier first: if the likeness is wrong there, no paid tier fixes it.
Product photos with the background removed
Photoroom cuts a subject out of a photo and drops it onto something better, which is most of what selling a physical product on Instagram or Etsy requires. Batch mode does a whole catalogue at once. It is built around commerce imagery rather than general editing, so a portrait retoucher will find it narrow.
Pick Flair.ai when there is no photo yet and the product is rigid enough to render convincingly in a generated scene, at $8 a month for Pro. Skip it for clothing or anything whose appeal is texture and drape, since the listing flags that as the weakest case for generated imagery, and remember commercial rights only start at the $26 Pro+ tier.
Choose Photoroom to process photos already shot, especially a whole catalogue at once with batch editing, or images taken on a phone with no lightbox. Pro is $12.99 a month, dropping to $7.50 a month billed yearly, for 8,000 AI credits and 1,000 exports.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
