Email marketing aimed at small businesses
Constant Contact is the one a local business gets recommended by its accountant, and that shapes the product: templates, an event tool, social posting, and support you can telephone. A creator running a list will find it plainer than the platforms built for newsletters. What it does well is stay out of the way of somebody who does not want to learn marketing software.
Our note
The list price rises after the introductory period, so quote yourself the second-year number before comparing. For a creator this is rarely the right pick against MailerLite or Brevo; for a business that will phone somebody when a send fails, it earns its keep.

Referral contests that pay out in prizes
UpViral runs the kind of campaign where entrants earn points for sharing a link and the leaderboard decides who wins, which is the fastest way to turn a small list into a larger one. Landing pages, emails and fraud checks all come with it. The trial costs a dollar rather than nothing, and the plans are priced for a business running launches rather than for a one-off giveaway.
Our note
The trial costs a dollar, which is worth knowing before comparing this against the free trials elsewhere in this category. The refund promise is the real risk reversal here, and it is worth reading the terms of before relying on it.
