ClickFunnels has no free tier: $97 a month, or $81 billed annually, is the entry price for funnels, email and three courses. Systeme.io gives away a real version of the same idea for nothing: 2,000 contacts, three funnels, unlimited email and a course platform, with no transaction fee, before its own paid tiers start at $17 a month. The page editor is where Systeme.io shows the difference, since it is the plainest part of a genuinely generous free plan.

Funnels, courses and email in one subscription
ClickFunnels sells the whole sequence rather than the page: opt-in, offer, upsell, email follow-up and a course to deliver what you sold. Everything lives in one account, which is the argument for it and also the argument against, since leaving means moving five things at once. The community around it is a large part of what people pay for.
Our note
The maths only works if you would otherwise be paying for a page builder, an email tool and a course platform separately. If you already have two of the three, Unbounce or Leadpages will do the pages for a quarter of the money.
Only on this side
Funnels, email and courses on one free plan
Systeme.io bundles funnels, an email list, a course platform and an affiliate program into one account, and the free plan carries 2,000 contacts with no transaction fee. That combination costs several hundred a month elsewhere. Every individual piece is plainer than the tool that specialises in it, and the page editor is the weakest of them.
Buy ClickFunnels if the page design and the funnel-building workflow are worth paying for from day one, and $97 a month is not a stretch. The community around it and the polish of the builder are what the price buys over Systeme.io's plainer editor.
Start on Systeme.io if you want to test a course or coaching offer before spending anything: the free plan runs real funnels, email and a course platform to 2,000 contacts with no transaction fee at all. Move up to the $17-a-month Startup tier once that cap is the thing holding you back, and expect the page builder to feel more basic than ClickFunnels' the whole way up.
Ratings are the average of reviews readers left. The facts are stated by each tool’s own listing and are not verified by CloutStack. How we make money.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
Our note
The free plan is the reason to try it and the page builder is the reason people leave. If you are choosing between this and paying separately for Kit, Teachable and Carrd, run the launch here first and move the piece that annoys you most later.
