Running the business
Chatfuel leans on AI to hold a sales conversation in the DM, free to start and $49 a month for AI PRO with no stated contact cap. Chatrace runs the more familiar keyword-to-DM automation at $39 a month for up to 3,000 contacts, and adds a $499 white label plan an agency can resell under its own name. A single creator selling through DMs and an agency running automation for clients are different buyers, and the price only makes sense once you know which one you are.

AI agents that answer DMs and comments
Chatfuel sits in the same place as Manychat and leans harder on the AI half: rather than only matching keywords to canned replies, it will hold a conversation and try to close a sale in the DM. That suits a creator selling a product more than one collecting emails. The free tier is thin enough to be a demo.

Comment and DM automation you can white label
Chatrace does the keyword-to-DM trick that Manychat made standard, at a flat price per account rather than per contact tier. The white label plan is the real difference: an agency can put its own name and domain on the whole thing and resell it. Documentation assumes you have built a flow before.
Our note
The reason to choose this over Manychat is arithmetic rather than features: at agency scale the flat per-account price beats per-contact billing, and the white label tier is something Manychat does not sell at all. For one creator on one Instagram account, Manychat is the safer buy.
Chatfuel is the choice for one creator who wants an AI agent trying to close a sale in the DM rather than just handing over a link, across Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. Forty-nine dollars a month is straightforward, and the free Light plan is there to test the mechanic first.
Chatrace is the better arithmetic at agency scale. Its flat $39 a month covers 3,000 contacts on one account, cheaper than Chatfuel's AI PRO plan, and unlimited accounts can run under a single login, each billed on its own. The $499 white label plan, with 50 client accounts and its own branding throughout, is something Chatfuel does not sell at all. A single creator on one account gets less from Chatrace's agency machinery.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
