Running the business
Carrd builds a one-page site from a template, and Pro is $19 a year with three sites free below that. Lovable writes a working web app from a description of what it should do, meters usage in credits rather than seats, and starts at $25 a month for continued use beyond the free monthly credit grant. For a landing page or a waitlist alone, Carrd is the far cheaper answer. For a small tool with a database and sign-ups behind it, only Lovable can build that at all.

One-page sites that cost less than lunch
Carrd builds the single page most people actually need: a bio, a link list, a launch page, a form that collects email addresses. Three sites are free and Pro is priced by the year rather than the month, which is why it keeps winning link-in-bio arguments on price alone. A site that wants a blog or a shop outgrows it fast.
Our note
The cheapest way to stop handing out a social profile as though it were a home page. If Linktree's monthly bill is the one you keep meaning to cancel, this is the version you own.

Describe the page and it writes the code
Lovable builds a working web app from a description, then lets you keep talking to it to change what it made. The output is real code rather than a locked page, so a site can be exported and hosted anywhere once it exists. For a creator this is the landing page, the waitlist or the small tool that was never worth hiring somebody for. Usage is metered in credits rather than in projects, and the free plan gives enough of them to find out whether the idea survives contact with the generator.
Carrd is the right choice, and the cheaper one, when the page itself is the whole job: a bio, a waitlist, a launch announcement with a form. Nineteen dollars a year is difficult to beat, and there is no code, no credits and no database to think about.
Lovable is worth $25 a month when what you are building needs to do something: store sign-ups, run logic, remember a user between visits. It writes real, exportable code rather than a locked page, so the result can be hosted anywhere afterwards. The free plan's monthly credits are enough to test whether an idea survives being built before paying anything.

Shaded rows are where the two answers disagree and both listings have answered. A row where one side has not stated a fact is left plain, because silence is not a difference.
